CSC 208 Weekly Goals and Tasks: Week 7

CSC 223

Overview

This week will be working our way forward in Chapter 2: Sequences.

Thursday, March 14th

Classwork

Making 11 of 22 the cutoff for a D, here is the grade distribution from our Chapter 1 test:

A: 3 B: 4 C: 5 D: 6 E: 4

I will return tests. I will also share an answer key I made, and a model student response from Akshay.

Finally, we will assign problems from exercise set 2.1 to be presented in class on Tuesday. There are 9 exercises without given solutions (some have hints), which means 18 of you can pair on these exercises. The remaining 4 of you should select from among the exercises that have solutions given, but you will be required to provide more complete explainations for those solutions (like those modelled in the solutions by Akshay and me).

Here are Counting Test Solutions and Akshay's Counting Test Solutions. Please use these as models for the level of detail desired in your exercise solutions for the homework.

Classwork / Homework

I'm out sick today. Please use class time today wisely.

You should complete all of the exercises at the end of section 2.1 that have solutions provided: exercises 1 through 9, 13, and 14. We will divide up the remaining exercises in class on Thursday.
