Overview
It turns out this Wednesday is an asynchronous day at Wakefield, W-L, Yorktown, and HB, so we will not have class that day. I will be away at a meeting on Friday, so that means only three days left to bring our year to a close.
Tuesday, June 10th and Thursday, June 12th
Today we will have our last test on Section 5.2: Functions on Thursday.
Since this section involves very important concepts about functions that you will need in your future study of mathematics, no notes will be permitted during this test.
In addition to our textbook, please use José Ejemplo's notes as a resource in studying. Please note the addition of a definition of an inverse function, which is not defined in our text.
Wednesday, June 4th and Friday, June 6th
Use class time today to study Section 5.2: Functions. You will have a test on this section next Thursday instead of our usual quiz, the difference being that it will be longer (at least a full sheet of paper instead of half), it will count much more (it will be weighted the same as three quizzes), and it will be more challenging (so any of the additional exercises are fair game for testing).
I will entertain questions on this section in class next Tuesday.
Monday, June 2nd
We will begin class with a quiz on Section 5.1: Sets.
After the quiz you should read Section 5.2: Functions and complete the exercises. We will go over this material in class on Friday.
