AP Computer Science Principles

Overview

This week we will complete our deep dive into computer networking.

Thursday, March 9th

Classwork

I ran the random group generator, which chose the groups for the coming week. Look on the students page to see where you sit.

Work in your groups on a presentation to be given in class next week addressing the following:

  1. We have this awesome, amazing, wonderful plan for preparing for the AP Computer Science Principles test. Here is what it is...
  2. Our plan makes use of the following list of online (and perhaps other) resources...
  3. We want to share these pointers about how to most effectively utilize the resources we just showed you to score 3 or better on the exam...

I'll ask for one group to volunteer to make their presentation on Monday after the networking test. Other groups will follow on Wednesday and Friday of next week.

I will agragate the ideas and resources presented into a study and resource guide you can then use to help you prepare for the exam.

Noah, Anupama, Eimi, and Rockwell have kindly volunteered to present on Monday, March 13th after the networking test. Toby, Alex, and Grant asked to present on Wednesday, March 15th.

Homework

Study chapters 1 through 8 and review your notes in preparation for the test on Introduction to Networking Monday.

Tuesday, March 7th

Classwork

Read Chapter 8: Secure Transport Layer, from our networking text. Add notes for this chapter to the Intro2networkingNotes.md file in your git repo.

Homework

Review your notes all of the eight chapters we read in Introduction to Networking, and fill in any chapters you may have missed along the way.

This and the previously assigned chapter notes for chapters assigned last week are all due on Wednesday, March 8th at 8 am.

We will review in class on Thursday and then you will have a test on Monday, March 13th.
