AP Computer Science Principles

Overview

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, homework is required to be successful in this class. Kudos to Gabriel, Anupama, Jack, Alex, Noah, Emory, Blue, Toby, Mayah, Evan, Christian, Conrad, Kiersten, and Ronan for demonstrating the responsibility and maturity needed for success by starting their week with a 10 of 10 on their homework. If you feel you need some help, ask one of them.

On Tuesday this week we will write a program together in class, practicing our git workflow as we do. On Thursday we will take a diagnostic pre-test for the AP CS Principles exam.

Field trips are one the best, often times most memorable parts of a high school experience. Since many of you will be attending the Notre Dame de Paris field trip today, those of us left behind will use today to either complete the homework assigned last class or catch up on other important things. There is no new assignment today.

REMEMBER: We will be taking the APCSP diagnotic text on Tuesday, September 27. Since the test is timed and allows 2 hours, and since we only have 83 minutes of class time, I am asking you to come during Archers period so you can have the full 2 hours for the test.

Classwork

Today in class we will work together on a program called Turning the Tables. I'll talk about the program as I write it, and you will following along, making git commits along the way.

Homework

Try one of the suggestions in Improving the program, making regular commits to your program as you change it. You need to have commits outside of class time to earn credit for this homework.

Shout Outs

Big shout outs to Ronan, Evan, Blu and Jack for moduling what our homework assignment should look like!
