Creating a Git Host Account on Codeberg

1. Point your browser at the Codeberg website and click the Register button.

   

2. Fill out the user registration form. Choose a professional username. You could just use your first initial and your last name, all lower case, which is the old unix standard for user names. Be sure to use your VCCS email address or a personal email address. Do not use your APS account!

   

3. Login to your email and activate your account.

   

4. Confirm your password on Codeberg.

   

5. Your account is now active.

   

6. Click the + in the upper right of the screen.

   

7. Select + New repository from the drop down menu.

   

8. Fill out the new repository form.

   

9. You can now clone your repo, but we will add an ssh public key first.
