CSC 222 Weekly Assignments: Week 9

CSC 222

Overview

This week the first group of students will sit for the CPE certification, while the rest of us continue to prepare to do so.

Thursday, October 23rd

Classwork / Homework

Including today, we have three class periods to prepare before the CPE certification. I'm grateful for the thoughful feedback submitted by the folks who sat for the CPE last class, and have begun using that to create practice materials targetted at what were reported as un/under-discussed topics.

The rest, my dear students, is up to you. I'm here as your resource, and I highly encourage you to take advantage of that. I'll let you guide what we discuss during class so that it is most useful to you in helping you do what you have to do to get ready.

Congratulations to Dimitri and Robbie on earning their CPE certifications! I'll be leaning on them to help me to add practice exercises to our textbook aligned with the CPE. We'll talk about whether they think we can use this as an accurate description of what they remember from the exam.

Tuesday, October 21st

Classwork

Today Mason, Sean, Dimitri, Robbie, Nathan and Evan will go with Chris to take their CPE certification exam.

Only two of you showed up to the review session on Saturday. I'm committed to providing you with all the support I can to prepare for the CPE, but it will only benefit you if you take advantage of it.

If you are not taking the CPE today you will take another practice test, which will provide you with another resource to use to prepare.

Homework

If you are now CPE certified, congratulations! Take a day off from homework and do something special to celebrate.

If you are not yet CPE certified, focus, study hard, and reach out for support in getting ready to earn your certification before the end of the quarter.
