This week we will continue laying the foundation for assembly language programming under CP/M. We'll even get to assemble our first program.

Classwork
Here are the remaining chapters to be discussed before we can finally begin writing assembly language programs:
- Chapter 8: The 8080 Microprocessor And Its Relatives
- Chapter 9: Register Usage in the 8080
- Chapter 10: Preserving the User's Environment

We'll choose pairs to present these chapters. Those of you not presenting this round will present in the next.

Complete the homework assign of reading chapter 7. We'll have the promised short quiz on chapters 5 and 6 at the beginning of class next Tuesday.
Homework
Read chapter 7, taking good notes. Also make sure you can assemble the sample program on your own machine. Be ready for a short quiz on this chapter at the beginning of next class, which could include problems converting between the three number systems discussed in the chapter.
